Irreversible liver damage can occur as the bile gets collected in the liver . Symptoms include yellowish discoloration of skin and the white part of the eyes, dark urine. When a baby has biliary atresia, bile flow from the liver to the gallbladder is blocked. This causes the bile to be trapped inside the liver, quickly causing damage and scarring of the liver cells (cirrhosis), and eventually liver failure Related Journals of Biliary Atresia Air & Water Borne Diseases, Immunological Techniques in Infectious Diseases, Infectious Diseases & Therapy, Infectious Diseases and Treatment , Clinical hepatology and hepatitis reports, Clinical Gastroenterology and Hepatology, Journal of infection, Travel medicine and infectious disease, Hepatitis Australia Hepatitis B Virus Hepatitis B is a virus that infects the livercamera.
